For those with withdrawal symptoms

Okay. Mummy and Daddy have been very bad...they seem to have forgotton to update my blog pics for my many adoring readers. I decided that it was time to take matters into my own little hands and upload some new pics I found on my Camera. Sigh, never let a grown up do a kid's work!

My Dad, the Star Wars Fanatic!

Have I told you guys that my daddy is a big Star Wars fan? Well, he is! And ever since they started airing the previews of the new Star Wars film, he has been jumping around the house shouting "It's finally here! She's finally here! It's finally here! She's finally here..........." Sometimes, I wonder if he loves Star Wars more than he loves me.

Roll

Since then he has been humming all the Star Wars theme he knows. Occasionally, I will hear Mummy scolding Daddy. "The Imperial March is not a lullaby!!!!" Even then, Daddy will secretly tell me the stories of the Jedi Council and this tiny green guy who is a Jedi Master called Yoda. He would also go on and on about the Skywalker family tree, about this Anakin guy who would bring balance to the Force and about his twin children. What is the Force?. Can someone please tell him that I am only a baby and that I cannot understand him and he is confusing me even more?!!!!

Whoa

Today is the official launch of Episode 3. I hope Daddy goes to watch it soon before he drives me or mummy crazy. Then all will be peaceful again.

A letter of request from Kaitlyn's folks

Dear family, friends and fans of little Bub,

Thank you for all your love and interest in out little bub and her daily activities. We understand that many of you are very keen on meeting the little bub in person and perhaps hold her a little. Much as we are very glad that she experiencing so much love and attention at such a tender age, we would also like to seek your understanding for the first month or so at least.

Right now, she kind of busy dealing with the 3 basic survival skills:

1) Eating
2) pooing/peeing
3) Burping

...not necessarily in that order! She's only been in this world for 2 weeks (can you believe that? it feels like months already!), so she still needs time to learn the above mentioned skills. She's also getting to know mummy and daddy and gets really cranky when too many people carries her and rocks her about. Hmm, Mummy herself is not doing too well with coping with her wounds, long sleepless nights and days and the infamous post-natal blues. She needs her rest.

So in a nut shell, this new little family would like to request that you, our dear readers, will give us some time to learn to be a family and give this little Bub the confidence she needs to meet with new people and the extended family... and her Mummy and Daddy some much needed rest. :o)

Don't worry, we are not trying to keep her all to ourselves! Why would we want to deprive her of all that love from you guys? Just give us a moment and we will make sure she gets to experience all the love the world is ready to give her!

Thank you for understanding and we look forward to meeting with all of you soon!

Lot's of love and appreciation

Oops! I did it again!

It was really a hot and humid day yesterday. I could not sleep well and my pespiration soaked the nappy that Mummy wrapped me in. Daddy had to turn on the airconditioning before I felt better but even then, I just couldn't stop crying. I need Mummy to soothe me!

Crying 2

My Ah Ma and Lao Ma also came to visit me yesterday but it was just so hot and humid that I just couldn't stop crying. It's not that I don't like them to carry but they just came on one of those days that I was feeling crabby. I hope that they don't feel upset about it.

Sweat

My tummy was at it again too. I just could not poo properly all day. Felt slightly constipated. Then Daddy gave me a little diluted gripe water to try to soothe my tummy. My tummy started rumbling and I let out a lot of gas. Some poo came out too and Mama was trying to change my diapers. Once again I took aim and fired!!!

Rocket Launcher

This time I got mama in her shirt and beat this. I got it all on Mama and none on the changing mat, diaper or anywhere else! Talk about sharpshooting!

Camouflage

After that, I felt so much better and actually managed to get a nice long 3 hour sleep before waking up for my next feed.

A New Day, A New Experience

Daddy went to do my birth certificate yesterday. He did it at Mount Elisabeth Hospital where I was born. Oh by the way, Mummy and Daddy decided to modify my name a little. It now reads this in my Birth Cert

Kaitlyn Marie Cheng Yen Ling

While he was there, he also bought some cute tummy warming pillows. These are cute furry (well, almost furry) teddies, or bumble bees that are filled with natural wheats which can be microwaved to be like a hot water bottle or freezed to be like an ice pack. This buy is brilliant because not only can it comfort my tummy, when it has too much wind, but also acts as a security blanket to put on me while I sleep.

Last night, Mummy and Daddy brought me to see their beautiful and comfortable bedroom. We spent the night there. Heard Mummy saying that the bed is so comfortable compared to the daybed in my room. Hmmmm.....time to plan again. "How to get parents to buy mattress like theirs?.........................."

There was something else about the room too. All three of us had a really good night's rest and at one point, I even slept 4 hours straight! Even at 10am today, I could hear Daddy grumbling about not wanting to get out of bed! He's such a PIG!

What's in a name?

Today, is another milestone for me. It is the day that I was given my official Chinese name!

Ah Ma took Daddy to a famous geomancer to select a suitable name for me. After giving the geomancer my date and time of birth, my eight characters were determined. The geomancer also told Ah Ma and Daddy that I am a very intelligent girl but I am also very stubborn. How dare he tell on me to my Daddy!

Pouty

Then he proceeded to calculating the strokes needed in my Chinese names to give me that will give a life full of good fortune and prosperity. 24 Chinese characters were then selected; 12 for the first character and another 12 for the second. The combination of these characters plus my surname would then give a perfect combination. Daddy then gave the "nice" man an 'Ang Pao' (To all you married Chinese couples. Give me lots of these at the next Lunar New Year, ok?) and they all left.

Back home, Daddy gathered a team of people to do some research on the characters to determined the best of the best name from these 24 characters. The team consists of Mummy, Daddy, Ah Ma, Godma Geraldine (who also happens to be my blood auntie) and grand-auntie Connie. Each character signifies an element; metal, earth, fire, water and wood (Like I know what that is) . Some will be a good combination, others will contradict. So they went about doing their research very earnestly. Several hours later, the name has been chosen.

Kaitlyn Marie Cheng Yen Leng

That is what they have decided that will go into my birth certificate. It may sound a bit common but we all like it.

Three Diapers and a Maternity Gown

The idea that Mummy and Daddy gave me yesterday requires precise and detailed planning. I took me the whole night to plan.

Gossip

Now I just need to get the timing right. I shall commence Mission Projectile during my 4am feed, when Mummy and Daddy are the most sleepy.

I woke up and cried on schedule to indicate that I am hungry and ready for my next feed. Daddy woke up and carried me while Mummy got ready. Then around 30 minutes later, I gave out a fart to trick Mummy that I had pooped. So as I was done with the first breast, Mummy decided it is time to change my diapers (I had earlier urinated into the diapers so that the Mission would work).

Mummy finished changing my diapers and was just about to wrap me up. Time for the next phase of the plan. I pooed once into the diaper and then made some farts to trick Mummy and Daddy into believing that it was a big poo and that I was done. True enough, after waiting for about 5 minutes, Mummy proceeded to cleaning me up with wet wipes. Once more I waited until the right moment. Just as she was done with the wipes, I took aim and fired.

Transformer Gun

Bullseye! I managed to get some onto Mummy's maternity gown. Mission Accomplished. Daddy had to take over getting me cleaned up while Mummy went to clean herself and change into another night gown. Was pondering on aiming at Daddy too but realised that I was out of ammunition. Nevermind. There is always next time. Muahahaha.

New Bedsheets

Today, Mama changed my bedsheets (Because I regurgitated milk onto my old sheets). They are very nice. Mummy sewed them for me. Isn't she clever with her hands?

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

I must say the ladybirds on the sheets tend to have this hypnotic effect on me. Apparently, Mummy says that I can only see red, black and white objects now. That is why I love to look at them.

Sometimes, I just stare at them for many minutes until I fall asleep. That is quite clever of Mummy, to have chosen this patterns for my bedsheets. That way she just needs to put me in the cot and I will be hypnotised to sleep.

My First Day out of the House

At 8 am, I woke up for my milk feed before Mama (Grandma) gave me a bath. I hate baths because it gets a bit chilly. But surprisingly, I feel much better after that. I smell fresh and I get to try on my new clothes. Something must be up as there was a lot of comotion as Mummy and Daddy went about putting things into a bag while I had my bath. Then next thing I knew, we were getting into this funky black car. I found out quickly that that is my Daddy's car and his third love, next to Mummy and me.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

At first I thought we were just going for a car ride but we got out at this strange place called Gleneagles Medical Centre. We were going to visit the doctors and have my firsy check up. The clinic was so cold and Mummy wrapped me up in my pink striped Bond's blankie. My tummy started acting up and I had to go again. POOOHH!!!!!

I started crying. Mummy and Daddy went about getting me cleaned up and were getting things out of my cool diaper bag.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Just as they have just gotten me clean and were just about to change my diapers, I decided while I'm getting my diaper changed I must as well pee into the old, soiled daipers. Daddy had to wipe me again with his handy wet wipes. Heard Mummy telling him that it was lucky that I was not a boy, otherwise I would have gotten urine all over them. That is a thought. Hmmm........

The doctor said that I was doing fine and all is well. That was good coz the clinic was very cold even though Mummy wrapped me up real good. That is my adventure for today. When we came home, I saw this cute teddy on my room door. Yup. This is my room!

Lots of Gas and a whole lot of crap!

I have not been feeling well the past 2 days. I have farted five hundred and one times and have not been able to pass motion. I just can't seem to get it out and the feeling is irritating me and I tend to cry a lot because of that.

Baby Pooping

After a good evening nap, all of a sudden my tummy hurt a lot and I woke up crying. Mummy tried to soothe me but the hurt just won't go away. She started singing this soothing song about God. I don't understand the words yet but her voice just some how have an effect and I had to go. The pampers barely held it all and mummy and daddy had to use 8 wet wipes to clean me up. Just as they changed the diapers, I pooped another load and they had to clean me over again. But, boy, did that feel good.

Phew

Hello Everyone!

I am finally here!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This is the only good photo that mummy and daddy have of me at the moment. So "tat- glam"! It's the one with my swollen left eye. That is from the forcep that doctor had to use to pull me out of mummy's womb. It was so comfortable that I did not want to come out!

Well, I must pray to God to thank Him for protecting me and mummy that my birth was smooth and no complications ocurred.

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

"God, thank you for watching over me and my mummy and bringing me safely into this world. I pray that you will guide me through my life and that I will be a good little girl to my parents. Please always keep them safe so that they can bring me up and buy lots of toys for me. Amen"

Speaking of toys, I need to ponder about what to ask daddy to buy for me first. Later People.

Still hanging around

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Hi there! As you can see, I'm still here! Mummy's been really really comfy, plus she eating some good food recently. No hurry to be out and about yet. I know all the aunties and uncles, grandmas and grand aunts have been waiting rather impatiently for my arrival, but hey, I'm worth the wait right? *smirk*

Think I'll go do some flips now, it is one of my favourite things to do. Hmm, somehow I get the feeling that mummy's not too happy with my hobby.
